Fresh from the Fridge: Cee-Lo Green- F%#K You (single)

This one goes out to all the gold digging shallow women out there. You know who you are. And if you don’t know who you are your the one who’s hating the shit outta this song now.

Big ups to Cee Lo for making this track. Couldn’t have sang it better myself! “Oppps she’s a gold digga, just thought you should know nigga.” hahah classick lyrics right there. I mean is there really a better saying that so simple yet gets a ton across then “Fuck You?” lol This will be another official track off his new up and coming album “The Lady Killer” dropping sometime this year in December.

The video for this track is equally as dope. It’s always a breath of fresh air when an artist doesn’t make a video we’ve all ready seen before. I love the crisp classic feel this one has and how Cee Lo tell’s his “Fuck You” story from a child and uses the toy car’s as a metaphor for what he has vs what she want’s as the gold digger at that age. lol Classick! Let me know what yall think…

Fresh From the Fridge-Cee Lo Green- Stray Bullet’s Mixtape

In anticipation of his forthcoming album “The Lady Killer” Cee Lo Green satisfies our hunger by hitting us with this appetizer in the form of a mixtape entitled “Stray Bullets.” Listening to this album Cee Lo Green def show’s us why he cant be put in a genre box because he hits us with ever genre of music with his own crazy twist. I heard funk,  jazz, new soul, vintage soul, rock, hip hop, even alien! lol

Track #2 “You Don’t Shock Me Anymore” is my favorite track off this album. Instant vintage! That’s all I gotta say. This track has a very retro Motown feel too it. I can picture Cee Lo singing this one on the Ed Sullivan Show all suited up. It’s amazing to me how he can birth such a classic sound in the era that we live in today. Big up’s to Cee Lo for this one. If you want to listen outside the box and enjoy something new with a vintage feel that’s very out there this is the album for you.

Fresh from the Fridge: Cee-Lo Green’s “Georgia” and “I Want You” singles

Yes yes yall! More freshness from the fridge from yours truly and this time I’m bringing you 2 exclusive’s from Cee-Lo Green off his new album being released later this year entitled “Lady Killer.” This is a big deal for me being a huge Gnarls Barkley fan and it being 5 years since he last put out a solo album.

According to sources, Cee-Lo will continue to blend and mix the genres of Hip-Hop and Soul on the forthcoming release and it’s very evident with his first single “Georgia” which is pretty much an ode to the place he loves and grew up in a story book detail. After listening to this track Ray Charles would definitely be proud as it is very reminiscent of his version aside from the obvious title but with an up to date, soulful, Gnarls swag to it. And excuse my language but Cee-Lo sings the shit outta this track yall!

The second single “I Want You” is super exclusive and by far my favorite out of the two. I swear I’ve had this track on repeat playing in my Windows Media Player all weekend! So soulful, smooth, and just an all around feel good track. Whoever the woman is that he’s singing about (hopefully his wife lol) in this track has to be one hell of a catch with the meaningful lyrics he wrote up on this one.

Enjoy the freshness and be on the lookout for a few mixtapes I’ll be dropping in the near future.
